With a number of optional remote control features available, these systems come with a gas valve, pilot assembly (for instant lighting), basic remote receiver and transmitter, and protective heat shield. All our control systems use valves certified to ANSI Standards. The SPK/APK/EPK Control Systems are easy to install, use no electricity, increase air flow to the valve, have heat shielding for greater protection, and include a built-in safety feature that shuts off gas flow should the pilot flame go out. All our control systems are certified to ANSI Standards for Natural and Propane gas. |

| Since all Peterson remote will not work with every pilot kit, the compatibility chart below should help explain which remote work with which valves. In years past, you had to choose the remote depending upon which valve you wanted. Keep in mind that new for 2006, all Peterson remote pilot kits now come with a basic remote transmitter and receiver, greatly simplifying your control system decision*.
* If you choose a control system that comes with a basic remote and you decide to purchase a deluxe remote as well, you will end up with both the basic and the deluxe remote. At this time, Peterson does not make any remote pilot kits that come with a deluxe remote. Due to certain BTU restrictions, not every pilot kit can be used with every size burner. See the remote breakdown, the remote/ pilot kit compatibility chart and the pilot kit/ burner configuration compatibility chart below to determine which control system is right for you and your fireplace. |
